Nestlé® NAN OPTIPRO Stage 2 Follow-Up Infant Formula 400g is suitable for babies from 6 to 12 months. This product does not contain breast milk, remember breast milk is the best food for babies.

Preparation:

1. Wash your hands before preparing baby’s formula. 2. Wash bottle, teat and cap or cup and spoon thoroughly until no milk remains. 3. Boil for 5 minutes leave covered until use. 4. Boil drinking water for 5 minutes allow to cool. 5. Consult feeding table; pour exact amount of safe, drinkable previously boiled, lukewarm water into sterilised bottle or cup. 6. Only use scoop** from this container and level using inner rim. 7. Consult feeding table; add exact number of level scoops for age of baby. 8. After use, store the scoop on suspension inside the can as shown. 9. Cap and shake bottle, or stir cup with sterilised spoon until powder is fully dissolved. 10. Close tin tightly after each use. Use within 3 weeks after opening. Package insert provides instructions for the proper preparation and use in other languages. Feeding table: Quantity per feed – no of feeds per day. Age of infant – previously boiled water in ml* – number of measuring scoops** – formula – other foods. 1-2 weeks – 90 – 3 – 6 – -. 3-4 weeks – 120 – 4 – 5 – -. 1 month – 150 – 5 – 5 – -. 2-3 months – 180 – 6 – 5 – -. 4-5 months – 210 – 7 – 5 – -. 6-8 months – 210 – 7 – 4-3 – 1-2***. 9 months onwards – 210 – 7 – 3-2 – 3-2***. *To maintain the number of living cultures, the boiled water must be cooled to about body temperature before adding powder. **Note: use only enclosed scoop, and level powder off without compacting it. Ensure scoop is dry before and after use. Using more or less powder than indicated will either lead to dehydration or deprive your baby of proper nutrition. Do not change proportions without medical advice. ***At this stage the infants diet becomes more diversified. Consult your healthcare professional before introducing new foods to baby’s diet. When foods other than formula are introduced, they should be carefully selected in order to be in line with current therapy (such as absence of lactose).
